It started with two weddings.
I'm Kumar Aditya Jain, founder of All Things Wed. The idea started while planning my two sisters' weddings.
I initially thought, how difficult can it really be? I tried getting involved in the planning and quickly realised how complicated it actually was.
There were vendors to coordinate, decisions to make, payments to track, things waiting for approval, people asking for updates, and countless conversations happening at the same time. Some information was on WhatsApp, some in spreadsheets, some in calls, and a lot of it was simply in someone's head.
At different points, I kept asking myself three simple questions:
And I realised I wasn't the only one struggling to keep track of everything.
So instead of assuming I knew the problem, I started speaking to wedding planners and asking them a simple question: “How do you actually manage all of this?”
What surprised me was that the answer was often very similar. They were doing an incredible amount of work — but managing it across the same combination of WhatsApp groups, spreadsheets, calls, documents and multiple disconnected tools.
That's when it clicked. The problem wasn't that planners didn't know how to manage weddings. They absolutely did. The problem was that the information they were managing was fragmented.
There was no single connected place where the planner, team, vendors and clients could see what mattered to them — without constantly asking someone for an update. That realisation became the foundation for All Things Wed: one connected platform for the planning, collaboration, finances, vendors, approvals and client visibility of a wedding.
Wedding planning is already complicated enough. The tools shouldn't make it more complicated.
